At SCS Noonan Scholars, we believe there should be more high-achieving underrepresented students graduating from top colleges equipped to achieve their full potential in their chosen career. We support our students with college guidance while in high school, and through college with academic preparation, stipends, academic and social-emotional support, and career guidance and networking. Originally launching in 2001 in Los Angeles, and then expanding to Boston in 2014, SCS Noonan Scholars is in a new phase of national expansion, working to support the top low-income students of color across the country with a refined model of service that has come to define the organization’s success in L.A. and Boston.
As our Institutional Giving Manager, you will play a critical role in helping us grow our institutional fundraising efforts from grantmaking organizations (including foundations and corporations) to support our national expansion. You will be a key member of our small and dynamic team of development professionals, and will have the opportunity to work with our passionate program and data evaluation staff to craft compelling stories about the successes of our Scholars. You will leverage your organizational capabilities to ensure that we track and meet our grant deadlines efficiently and effectively. You will use your exceptional research skills to unlock new sources of local and national funding. As a team player who contributes to our broader development goals, your collaborative nature, attention to detail, and experience managing complex projects will help us secure new revenue, while also stewarding our existing institutional funders.
You’ll love this position if you enjoy taking ownership in your work, getting things done efficiently, and operating with an entrepreneurial spirit. An ideal candidate will have prior experience writing grants, including for national education funders, and managing grant deadlines and reporting, as well as an understanding of development operations. This is a full-time position based out of our office in either Boston or Los Angeles.
Knowing its importance to the success of our work, SCS Noonan Scholars is committed to diversity and inclusion, and we aspire to build a diverse staff team and community. We strongly encourage people of all backgrounds to apply. We appreciate your time and will review and respond to all applications received.
